It’s happened to me. It’s probably happened to you. You buy a CD with all this hype that “this album is a masterpiece”, “this is a must have”, or “it’s the album of the year”. I am not going to tell you that Punchline’s 37 Everywhere is going to be the album of the year because most likely it won’t be, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s an exhilarating, solid, positive album. Some of the songs, like “Green Light,” encourage the listener to make the best of every second of every minute. One way with a green light on a Saturday night / And its easy to get so caught up in confusion / But just as easy to shrug it off and push right through them / Stare into this moment /And own it. Some songs, like “The Getaway,” might remind you of a relationship you are feeling bitter toward. The highpoint of the album is when you reach track 7, “The Fake, The Snake, And The Birthday Cake.” When you reach the homestretch with “Exactly,” you’ll be happy you were able to rock out to the 38 minute and 37(honest to God) second disc.
Throughout the CD you’ll wonder if you have lived life to the fullest, and if you haven’t you’ll want to start. After you finish listening to the 11 track album, you’ll have a refreshed feeling. You’ll unconsciously find yourself humming along to the lyrics in line at your local music store. Speaking of stores, go out and buy Punchline’s 37 Everywhere - it’s a must have.
